What Does the Rate Increase Mean?

 

Attending this event will not only provide you with the postage rates effective January 22, 2012, but insight into how those new rates will affect you. We will cover any USPS rule changes, pricing anomalies and the price increases that have been announced. Example: starting with the implementation of the new rates, the AADC and the 3-Digit rates will be the same. What should that mean to you and the fixed rate you may have established with a vendor? Historically, it has been MSMA’s approach to present from the standpoint of “how do we use new rules to our advantage and how do we beat the increased prices?”

 

The MSMA Board determined there was only one person to call with the assignment of providing the membership this perspective. Laine Ropson, President, Ropson & Associates, LLC, is a Postal Consultant, specializes in Postal Education, including the interpretation rate increases and rules changes for mailers, as well as mailpiece design training programs and mail planning procedures. She has been active in the mail industry for over 40 years. She is certified in programs of the USPS, MSMA and other organizations. She is a representative at the USPS’ prestigious Mailers’ Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC). She has been a speaker at the National Postal Forum, MAILCOM, PCC events, and industry conferences. In 2004 she received MAILCOM’s highly regarded Franklin Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to mail communications.

 

 

PURPOSE OF ORGANIZATION:

To provide a meeting place for mail systems managers to share important information,        

network with those having similar responsibilities, build professional recognition and grow as professionals.
